The Kelowna Heat got a stellar effort from pitcher Rafael Chavez, helping Kelowna score a 3-2 win over the visiting Trois-Rivieres Saints. Darrell Cuff picked up the save, his 7th. The Heat bumped their record to 25-23 with this latest triumph.

Elliott Atherton drew 1 walk in 3 plate appearances for Kelowna. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Josh Sanford. It was his 18th RBI of the season.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Chavez said.
