| Multi-HR Day for Cullen as Stars Overpower Heat, 6-1 | Brantford College Grounds was the site for CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action featuring the Kelowna Heat and Niagara Stars.
The Niagara Stars bested the Kelowna Heat, 6-1, at Brantford College Grounds. Justin Cullen was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The save was credited to Gene Dumont, his 2nd.
With Niagara leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Cullen hit a fastball from Clifton Blatchford for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 4-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Cullen told reporters after the game.
Niagara, at 21-25, occupies third place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.
