| Outlaws Lose, 7-5, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College | The Victoria Capitals topped the Calgary Outlaws by the score of 7-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Gordon McLean. McLean went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Capitals on the day. Victoria reliever Wiley Kenny picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Isaiah Wynter absorbed the loss. The save was Kelly Jayne's, his 4th.
McLean contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Victoria in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, McLean took a changeup from Isaiah Wynter and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Capitals to leap in front, 3-1.
"We take it day by day here," said McLean, "and today was a good one for us."
Victoria is last in the Lester B. Person League West Division with a record of 19-25.
