Victory Pushes Saints Record to 29-15

The Niagara Stars got a superb performance from center fielder Darrell Rowe. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Trois-Rivieres. The Saints won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Rowe was named the player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Trois-Rivieres reliever Preston Wensel picked up the win to move to 1-1. Jim Gaudreau suffered the loss. Bill Whimster earned the save for Trois-Rivieres, his 11th of the year.

Steven Clement drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances for Trois-Rivieres. The 19-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jim Gaudreau. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
