| Petit slugs 2 home runs, Saints Move to 28-15 | The Trois-Rivieres Saints beat the Victoria Capitals, 11-5, at Blue Wings Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Jérôme Petit, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Trois-Rivieres reliever Kurt Hackler got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Jim Mullins was tagged with the loss. Trois-Rivieres leads the Lester B. Person League East Division by 6 games.
Petit had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Saints went on to win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Petit.
