| Stars Lose, 4-1, at Blue Wings Ballpark | The exploits of center fielder Jeff Russell, who is tied for 6th in the LBL in triples with 1, helped the Trois-Rivieres Saints defeat the Niagara Stars, 4-1. Russell was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The Saints bumped their record to 27-14 with this latest triumph.
Pete Dill, who is tied for 8th in the LBL in extra base hits with 19, helped out the Trois-Rivieres cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a walk.
"We take it day by day here," said Dill, "and today was a good one for us."
