| Monarchs Win at Saskatoon, 13-9 | Saskatoon right fielder Rick Smart had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Smart was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, even as London beat the Legends, 13-9. Smart was named the player of the game despite the loss. London reliever Ron MacDougall was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Pat Hamilton took the loss for Saskatoon. The save was Victor Perez's, his 7th.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from right fielder Bill Wolochow. For the game, Wolochow was 1 for 3 with 2 walks and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave London a 2-1 lead.
Wolochow told a London Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Monarchs are now 20-21, while the Legends fall to 20-21.
