| Multi-HR Game for Hanna in 8-3 Win | The London Monarchs beat the Victoria Capitals, 8-3, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. The Monarchs got a fine performance from designated hitter Tim Hanna, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Leif Hooper, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 3 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-2. London is third in the Lester B. Person League East Division with a record of 19-20.
One important at-bat for London came with two out in the top of the ninth inning. With the bases loaded, Hanna hit a grand slam, which contributed to the Monarchs win.
