| Stars Roll Over Royales, 9-4 | Niagara played host to Montreal at the friendly confines of Drummondville College Grounds.
The Niagara Stars beat the Montreal Royales, 9-4, at Drummondville College Grounds. The Stars got a fine performance from catcher Max Wyman, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Gary Hales, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Montreal to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts.
Wyman had a key at-bat for Niagara early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Niagara an early 3-0 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Wyman told the Niagara Times. "It's as simple as that."
