| Andrews Hits 2 home runs in Royales Win | Montreal right fielder Moses Andrews made his presence felt in the 11-3 Royales triumph over the London Monarchs. Andrews was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Harry Parsons got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 3 innings. Roy Manuel closed it out for his 1st save.
The Royales got a big at-bat from first baseman Bill Cluff. For the game, Cluff went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Montreal a 4-0 lead.
In comments to the Montreal Bulletin, Andrews admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
