| Rowe Hits 2 home runs in Stars Win | A nice crowd turned out to see the Niagara Stars and Saskatoon Legends clash at Ballpark of Red Deer College.
The Niagara Stars relied on the hitting of center fielder Darrell Rowe to stop the Saskatoon Legends, 11-6. For the game, Rowe was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Gene Dumont, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Rowe had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, when he grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Stars went on to win.
"We maximized our offense today," said Niagara skipper Miguel Ortega. "That makes everyone's life easier."
The Stars bumped their record to 19-18 with this latest triumph.
