| Capitals Need Extras to Top Heat | The Victoria Capitals relied on the hitting of center fielder Roger Berry to stop the Kelowna Heat, 8-4. For the game, Berry was 2-5 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Kelly Jayne picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Dave Bruce took the loss. The Capitals are now 16-21, while the Heat fall to 20-17.
Mike Ives aided the Victoria cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the 11th. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.
