Benefiting from Steve Dyke's productive game, the Saskatoon Legends downed the Montreal Royales, 6-3. Dyke went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Legends. Saskatoon reliever Willard Stabb got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Wallace Watkins was tagged with the loss. Paul Doiron earned the save, his 2nd.

Saskatoon grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Dyke, who is tied for 10th in the LBL with a .339 batting average, hit a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Legends out in front, 4-1.

Dyke called the triumph "a good team win."

The Legends bumped their record to 18-16 with this latest triumph.
