| Victory Pushes Heat Record to 18-15 | A nice crowd turned out to see the Kelowna Heat and Trois-Rivieres Saints clash at Blue Wings Ballpark.
The Kelowna Heat defeated the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 6-2, at Blue Wings Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Kelowna was right fielder Terry Blumberg. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. Harry Dougherty got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 0.
Nate Oncale, who is tied for 4th in the LBL in bases on balls with 25, aided the Kelowna cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I like our mindset right now," said Kelowna manager Jorge Martínez.
The Heat, now 18-15, have won 4 in a row.
