| Legends Win at Trois-Rivieres, 5-2 | The Saskatoon Legends downed the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 5-2, at Blue Wings Ballpark. The Legends were led by Sal Castro, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Paul Doiron, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The win boosts the Legends to 17-15. The loss puts the Saints at 23-9.
Castro had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Preston Wensel, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Legends a 5-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Castro.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Saskatoon manager Roger George.
