Blazers Stumble, Lose to G.o.D.

It was a good time at Isle of Destiny, where fans came to watch the Bloomington Blazers and Tonga G.o.D. get after it.

Tonga rode a fine outing from starter Adhipa Vemireddy to victory over the Bloomington Blazers at Isle of Destiny. The final score was 8-2. The winning pitcher was Vemireddy, now 5-5. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7.

Nick Corpus, who is tied for 8th in the RCL in triples with 4, aided the Tonga cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tonga skipper Garth Lee.

The G.o.D. bumped their record to 40-39 with this latest triumph.
