| Victory Pushes Monarchs Record to 16-15 | The London Monarchs topped the Saskatoon Legends by the score of 7-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Dave Cote. Cote was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Monarchs on the day. The Monarchs, now 16-15, know that wins in June count the same as wins in September.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from left fielder Loren Paul. For the game, Paul was 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 23rd hit of the season gave London a 1-0 lead.
