| Beavers Stun Sasquatch, 3-2 | The Portland Beavers scored a 3-2 win versus the Seattle Sasquatch at Waterfront Park. Portland pitcher Felipe De La Hoya nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Portland reliever Quan Que picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Dino De Buono was collared with the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Sasquatch, who are now 6-2.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Portland pinch hitter Sean Clark, facing Dino De Buono, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Beavers the 3-2 win.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said De La Hoya. "Successful pitchers do it."
