| Gillberry Helps Saints Run Win Streak to 3 | It was a good time at Blue Wings Ballpark, where fans came to watch the London Monarchs and Trois-Rivieres Saints get after it.
Ron Gillberry batted in 5 runs to lead Trois-Rivieres to a win over London. The final score was 16-3. Gillberry chipped in with 2 singles and 1 home run. Royce Wellman picked up the save for Trois-Rivieres, his 2nd of the year.
Bennett Fudge's at-bat in the bottom of the second inning was a big one for Trois-Rivieres. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Trois-Rivieres leading 1-0, the first baseman reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Gillberry. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Saints have an impressive 19-6 record.
