| Legends Finish Off Heat in 12 | Saskatoon rode a decent outing from starter Gene Legrow to victory over the Kelowna Heat at Brantford College Grounds. The final score was 8-5. Saskatoon reliever Jordan Patterson picked up the win to move to 3-0. Roger Suzuki suffered the loss. The first-place Legends have a one-game lead in their division.
The Legends got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jonathan Coles. For the game, Coles went 1 for 1 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the 12th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Saskatoon a 8-4 lead.
"I had a good game plan," said Legrow. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Roger George said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
