| Stars Bang Out 11-5 Win Versus Victoria | The Niagara Stars knocked off the Victoria Capitals, 11-5, at Drummondville College Grounds. John Beaupre, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Niagara won. The second baseman went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Travis Waller, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Capitals to 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. With the win, the Stars have a record of 7-12.
Barry Hargrove put Niagara in front, 4-0, when he took Jesse Knowles downtown. His 2-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the second. It was his 7th home run of the season.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Niagara skipper Miguel Ortega.
