Bevan Hits 2 home runs in Legends Win

The Saskatoon Legends grabbed a 10-3 win over the London Monarchs at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Saskatoon third baseman Nate Bevan slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Ray Lewis in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bill Nicolson took the loss. Saskatoon is now 5-7. London is 7-5.

Bevan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Bill Nicolson, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Legends a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Bevan.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bevan.
