| Heat Win at Niagara, 10-7 | The Niagara Stars got a sterling performance from second baseman Lou Wicks, but the Heat still prevailed, 10-7. Wicks was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Dave Bruce got the save, the 4th for him this season. The Heat, now 7-3, have been playing some good baseball.
Terry Blumberg, who is rated as the 33rd best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Kelowna with a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 6 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Kelowna manager Jorge Martínez.
