| 8 Straight Wins for Stogies | The Havana Stogies beat the Portland Beavers, 6-5, at The Humidor. Havana third baseman Taylor Bastien earned player of the game honors. He collected 2 singles and 2 doubles, while driving in 1 runs. Havana reliever Felipe Arreola picked up the win, upping his record to 8-1. Lakufa'ango Fanau shouldered the loss. The Stogies own a robust 46-26 mark.
Bastien had a game-changing double in the bottom of the 12th. On a 2-2 slider from Lakufa'ango Fanau, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Stogies a 6-5 lead. It was the 21st double of the year for Bastien.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Bastien said.
