Owry Hits 2 home runs in Capitals Win

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Victoria Capitals defeated the Montreal Royales, 12-3. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Rudolf Owry, who went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice. Victoria reliever Danny Bustamante picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dorian Barlow was saddled with the loss.

When the Capitals needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Owry who delivered. Facing Montreal pitcher Eric Wagner the top of the sixth with the bases loaded, Owry hit his 2nd home run of the year. It made the score 11-3.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Owry.

The Capitals are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 9 games.
