The London Monarchs defeated the Victoria Capitals, 13-4, at Hatchets Ballpark today. Leading the charge for London was shortstop Herman Jones. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. J.D. Haner earned the save, his 2nd.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Hatchets Ballpark crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Jones.
The Monarchs raised their record to 6-2.
