| Royales Roll Outlaws, 7-6 | The Calgary Outlaws got a superb performance from third baseman Pat Inglis. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Montreal. The Royales won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, Inglis was named the player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Montreal reliever Mike Mills picked up the win to move to 1-0. John Krant suffered the loss. Reagan Juneau recorded his 2nd save for Montreal.
The Royales got a big at-bat from left fielder Lou McCluskie. For the game, McCluskie went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Montreal a 4-2 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," McCluskie said.
The loss drops Calgary to 2-5.
