| Legends Top Royales Behind Legrow, 3-1 | Saskatoon Legends starter Gene Legrow was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Montreal Royales, 3-1. Brett Conroy was credited with the save for Saskatoon, his 1st of the season. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Legends hope to make a postseason run.
Legrow was effective for Saskatoon, seldom allowing the Royales to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 82 pitches over 7 innings. He limited Montreal to just no runs on 1 hit.
"I like winning," Legrow told the Saskatoon Daily. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
