Blumberg goes 4-for-5, Heat Move to 4-1

The Kelowna Heat topped the Montreal Royales by the score of 11-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Terry Blumberg. Blumberg went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 for the Heat on the day. Kelowna reliever Cesar Flores was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jimmy Mandler took the loss. The Heat, now 4-1, have been on a roll in the early going.

Andrew Bailey, who is the 7th-best prospect in the Heat organization, aided the Kelowna cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bailey said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
