| Santana has 3 hit day, Tornadoes Move to 50-27 | The Kansas City Tornadoes stymied the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 5-2, at Debris Field. Antonio Santana, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Kansas City. Kansas City reliever Hiroo Okimura picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Ryan Goldberg shouldered the loss. Nate Miller, credited with the save, is now 26 for 26 in save opportunities.
Santana had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 changeup from Ryan Goldberg, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Tornadoes a 5-2 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Santana.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Santana.
The Tornadoes own a robust 50-27 mark.
