| G.o.D. Walk Off with Win | The Tonga G.o.D. scored a 5-4 win versus the Hawaii Islanders at Isle of Destiny. Tonga pitcher Paul Barrett nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Tonga reliever Robinson Merrado picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Amaui Mahi'ai was collared with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the G.o.D. have raced to a strong start this season.
The G.o.D. got a big at-bat from designated hitter Garin Renzenbrink. For the game, Renzenbrink went 3 for 6 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Tonga a 5-4 lead.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Barrett. "Successful pitchers do it."
