| Razorbacks Trip Sycamores in Extras | The Arkansas Razorbacks had to overcome a big game from Indiana State left fielder Clark Trottier to leave Pit Vipers Ballpark with a 4-3 victory. Trottier was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Bobby Mitchell picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Andy Anderson took the loss. The Razorbacks improved to 27-19.
Bill Ventre's hit in the top of the 12th was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Jesse Mayer for a run-scoring single. It put Arkansas in front, 4-3.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Ventre told the Arkansas Gazette.
