| Tigers Lick Aggies, 11-1 | The LSU Tigers used an offensive barrage to beat the Texas A&M Aggies, 11-1, at Sooners Ballpark. Brendan Grimes led the way, going 3-for-5 for LSU. Jeff Shunnarah closed the game out for LSU, earning his 1st save. The win puts the Tigers at 20-24, while the Aggies drop to 13-31.
Grimes had a key at-bat for LSU early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 52nd hit of the season and gave LSU an early 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Grimes. "And not try to do too much."
