| Taylor Goes Wild, But Buckeyes Win | The Michigan Wolverines got a superb performance from first baseman Kris Taylor. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ohio State. The Buckeyes won the game, 8-5. In spite of the loss, Taylor was named the player of the game. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Ohio State reliever Josh Klayman picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Tom Hass was collared with the loss. Ohio State is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Roland Bland aided the Ohio State cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bland said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
