| Slade Goes Wild, But Wildcats Win | The TCU Horned Frogs got a superb performance from second baseman Dan Slade. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Arizona. The Wildcats won the game, 11-5. In spite of the loss, Slade was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Arizona reliever Chris Vos picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-1. Greg Camp was collared with the loss. The win puts the Wildcats at 20-24, while the Horned Frogs drop to 23-21.
Matt Wilson aided the Arizona cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Wilson. "And not try to do too much."
