Tony Hickman added some punch to the Ole Miss offense, helping them outmuscle the Houston Cougars, 9-7. In the game, Hickman went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Ole Miss reliever Jay Crayne picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Nick Sutton was collared with the loss.
Ole Miss took a 9-7 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, designated hitter Kyle Murrey hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hickman. "And not try to do too much."
