| Crimson Tide Top Seminoles in Extras | Fans who gathered at Ballpark of Riverdale College saw a good contest between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida State Seminoles.
Alabama beat Florida State on the strength of starter Mike Frazier's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Alabama reliever David Kress got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Casey Beals was tagged with the loss. Brian Goodwin recorded his 1st save for Alabama.
The Crimson Tide got a big at-bat from second baseman Jeremy Gaines. For the game, Gaines went 1 for 5 with a walk. In the top of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Alabama a 4-3 lead.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Gaines.
Alabama has now won 3 in a row.
