| Anciso Goes Wild, But Bulldogs Win | The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Tennessee Volunteers, 8-6. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Felix Anciso, who hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Georgia reliever Iestyn Milward got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Colin Bower was tagged with the loss. Tyler Eichelberger recorded his 8th save for Georgia.
The Bulldogs got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Josh Andrews. For the game, Andrews was 1-1. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 1st hit of the season gave Georgia a 8-6 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Andrews said.
The Bulldogs, now 18-25, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
