| Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Cougars | Benefiting from Mike Leonard's productive game, the Houston Cougars downed the TCU Horned Frogs, 4-3. Leonard went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk for the Cougars. Houston reliever Rob Smink got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Kyle Marlow was tagged with the loss. With the win, Houston goes to 20-23, while the Horned Frogs fall to 23-20.
The Cougars got a big at-bat from pinch hitter John Moore. For the game, Moore was 1-1. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Houston a 4-3 lead.
