| Bulldogs Get Close Win Over Bulldogs | The Fresno State Bulldogs electrified Brooks College Grounds with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Fresno State Bulldogs defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 10-9. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Caleb Reese, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Fresno State reliever Eduardo Flores got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Dan Dixon was tagged with the loss.
The Bulldogs were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Hector Torres turned a 1-0 cutter from Dan Dixon into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Fresno State a thrilling 10-9 win.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Fresno State manager Motoyuki Kokawa.
Fresno State has now won 3 in a row.
