| Aggies Win at Stanford, 5-1 | Texas A&M starter Brent Husband pitched effectively against the Stanford Cardinals at Surfers Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Husband got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 5.1 innings. Husband allowed 1 earned run. Even with the win, the Aggies have a dismal 13-29 record.
Luke Butner drew 1 walk for Texas A&M. The 19-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Chris Massa. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Aggies manager Richie Robertson, "I like our chances."
