Kauffman, Longhorns Humble Ragin Cajuns

The Texas Longhorns dealt the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns a 12-1 loss at Field of the Dukes. Gary Kauffman was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Longhorns bumped their record to 21-21 with this latest triumph.

Texas used the timely hitting of Jesse Mason to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Longhorns on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mason told the Texas Herald.
