| Lindberg Stars for Sun Devils in 7-4 Win | The skies opened up and the rain fell at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College.
The Arizona State Sun Devils dealt the Baylor Bears a 7-4 loss at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Jack Lindberg was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Arizona State reliever Jon Moore picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Adam Rediger was collared with the loss. Jonathan Rice finished the game for Arizona State and earned his 8th save.
Lindberg had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Adam Rediger, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Sun Devils a 7-4 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Lindberg.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Lindberg.
The Sun Devils bumped their record to 24-18 with this latest triumph.
