| Gators Throttle Seminoles, 5-1 | Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Fred Feldmann, the Florida Gators defeated the Florida State Seminoles, 5-1. Feldmann was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Gators. Florida reliever Mike Conrad picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Billy D'Annunzio was collared with the loss. Danny Morehouse finished the game for Florida and earned his 1st save.
Feldmann had a key at-bat for Florida early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and gave Florida an early 2-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Florida manager Torazo Yamamoto.
The Gators bumped their record to 24-18 with this latest triumph.
