Wildcats Lose to 49'ers in Walk Off

The Arizona Wildcats got a sterling performance from pitcher Justin Mancuso, but the 49'ers still prevailed, 4-3. Mancuso was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Long Beach State reliever Mike Fischer picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jesus Diaz took the loss. The 49'ers bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Long Beach State first baseman Jake Brozek, facing Jesus Diaz, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the 49'ers the 4-3 win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Brozek said after the game.
