| Golden Bears Slip Past USC, 3-2 | The California Golden Bears defeated the USC Trojans, 3-2, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Nesquehoning College Fields, with California pitcher Jesse Jaworski named player of the game. Jack MacDonald was credited with the save for California, his 7th of the season. The Golden Bears bumped their record to 22-18 with this latest triumph.
Jordan Johnson made it 3-2, California, in the top of the eighth when he reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Golden Bears win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Johnson said after the game.
