| Wolverines Trip Jayhawks in Extras | The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Kansas Jayhawks, 7-6, in Skip Bertman League action at Brutes Ballpark, with Michigan center fielder Josh Tanner named player of the game. Michigan reliever Paul Durham picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Kasey O'Connell took the loss. Justin Caspersen was credited with the save for Michigan, his 2nd of the season.
Tanner had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-1 fastball from Kasey O'Connell, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Wolverines a 7-6 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Tanner.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Tanner said after the game.
The Wolverines bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.
