| Texans Lose, 6-3, at Blue Ivy Stadium | It was a good time at Blue Ivy Stadium, where fans came to watch the Dallas Texans and Brooklyn Black Knights get after it.
The Dallas Texans got a superb performance from left fielder Tim Sorrells. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Brooklyn. The Black Knights won the game, 6-3. In spite of the loss, Sorrells was named the player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Douggie Pitchford picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 2-1.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from shortstop Nobuharu Morita. For the game, Morita went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Brooklyn a 4-3 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Brooklyn manager Tim Duncan.
Brooklyn now has a 3-game win streak.
