| Tigers Score Late, Top Horned Frogs, 4-3 | TCU pitcher Sean Rowell gave the Tigers all they could handle, but in the end, LSU left South Paris College Grounds with a 4-3 win. Rowell allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5.1 innings. The win was credited to Bobby Bruce in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Amari Small took the loss. LSU now sits at 16-23, while TCU falls to 21-18.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when LSU designated hitter John Stephens, facing Greg Camp, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Tigers the 4-3 win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said TCU skipper Scott Knight, "and it cost us."
