Tigers Lose, 8-4, at Pit Vipers Ballpark

Steve Holeman had a big hand in Indiana State's 8-4 triumph over Auburn. He rattled off 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scoring 1 times and knocking in 2 runs. For his performance, Holeman was named player of the game. The Sycamores bumped their record to 21-18 with this latest triumph.

Holeman had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 curveball from Pedro Valenzuela, he banged a 2-run single to right-center, giving the Sycamores a 6-4 lead. It was the 44th hit of the year for Holeman.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Holeman told the Indiana State News. "It's as simple as that."
